I don't even know where to start with my review of the Motor City Bird & Fish Breeders Expo that three of us visited today.
So we take-off from Windsor in time to arrive at the MCBFB Expo at 10am with new club member Tony and his son Antonio. I didn't bother packing a Styrofoam or Coleman cooler as I wasn't looking for a lot of fish but more specific species. So we arrive at the expo site, join the queue and get ready to pay our $3 admission fee and enter the event. My spidey sense began to tingle as I neared the entry way and decided to take a quick glance around the hall. I barely seen any fish there. So I tell Tony and his son to have a seat in the lobby, put away their admission fee and wait a few minutes while I check out the place.
Wow! I saw three sellers at the Expo and knew all three. Basically I already knew what they were bringing to the event so I didn't spend much time gazing among their wares(basically two minutes). I realized that the event for an old fish nerd like me was a complete waste of time. If you're looking for birds, bird cages and other associated gear then that's the spot... unfortunately it was not the spot for fish.
gtomike I was very happy that we didn't proceed with our original gameplan as that would've been a huge waste of time and money. I hope you have a better go of it at the American Livebearer Association convention.
PS: No fishes were purchased, maimed, killed or imported back into the country from this event.
