Everyone is invited to the next meeting of the Chatham-Kent Aquarium Society on March 12 at 11 am to 1 pm. It will take place at Chatham Chrysler. 351 Richmond Street Chatham, ON N7M 1P5. There will be a speaker, mini-auction and bowl show!
Nice meeting today. We watched a very interesting video on the Amazon which described how life survives during and between rainy and dry seasons. It's quite worthy to note that a lot of fish die naturally during the dry season. I never occurred to me that this would take place but made total sense. Kinda sad to see so many species dying but all due to a natural environment cycle.
gtomike I won a bag of Northfin Goldfish food which should come in handy with my new goldfish. Also picked up another bag of Northfin Cichlid formula (1mm). I'm planning to use that with smaller cichlid fry. I also left with a nice Anubis barteri and Betta Splendens for Jazzy's tank.
Prior to the meeting, I popped into Living Things petstore. I saw a lot of nice fishes. Unfortunately the Platys I wanted were still in quarantine so I left without purchasing any fishes. I did pick up a neat ornament that will work nicely with small fry to swim in and out of.
